Kids.Now Canada
the mission of kids.now is mentoring kids to help them set and achieve important life goals. kisd.now wants to help kids make positive, healthy, and balanced choices that will empower them to take a leadership role in their own lives and the lives of others. Kids.now is an after-school, in-school leadership and mentoring program for grade 7 and grade 8 students. The Program focuses on self-esteem, goal-setting, communication, positive conflict resolution, and stress management. The Program is comprised of 12 sessions, one session per week for 12 weeks. Sessions take place after school, in schools, for 90 minutes, usually 3:30pm to 5:00pm. The weekly sessions are coached/facilitated in a lively, fun, interactive format, comprised of games, activities, skits, role playing, presentations, working in teams and pairs, etc. Weekly sessions are coached/facilitated by a kids.now Volunteer Coach/Mentor.
kids.now runs Fall Programs, Winter Programs, and Spring Programs.
kids.now helps acquire the tools toward developing leadership skills.
The Program is entirely free of charge for schools, students, ad parents. All costs are absorbed by kids.now sponsorship and funding.
