Kiwanis Club of Brampton Inc.
www.bramptonkiwanis.com
The Kiwanis Club of Brampton supports over 20 nonprofit organizations (our Community Partners) that serve children and families in the local community. Founded in 1957, the club has been instrumental in establishing what later became Brampton Caledon Community Living and the Big Brothers Big Sisters of Peel. The club is part of Kiwanis International, a global organization of over 600,000 volunteers dedicated to changing the world one child and one community at a time. Two signature programs of the club are the Celebrity Clowns in the Brampton Santa Claus parade and the Kiwanis Memorial Park in Brampton. The Park features formal planting areas together with the picturesque Etobicoke Creek that winds its way through the park, providing a natural setting. This program creates a worthwhile opportunity for citizens to become involved in contributing towards an investment in trees for the future, while at the same time combining a long-lasting, fitting tribute to significant events in their lives. This can be for the remembrance of someone dear, the celebration of a birth or honouring a retiree. Our primary focus is on kids and developing leaders for tomorrow.
