The Mentoring Partnership
Sheridan Community Employment Services is a proud partner with The Mentoring Partnership, which pairs skilled immigrants with mentors in their professional field. Run by the Toronto Region Immigrant Employment Council (TRIEC), the program is delivered by organizational partners and community agencies across the GTA. Sheridan and our fellow service delivery partners recruit mentees and mentors and provide coaches to support both sides through the mentoring relationship.
Mentees in the program receive advice and support from their mentors on preparing for the Canadian labour market and finding work in the GTA. Meanwhile, volunteer mentors give back to their professional community while gaining valuable leadership experience, cross cultural communication skills and professional development opportunities.
