Community Alliance for Support and Empowerment
CASE is a grassroot non-profit organization. Our mandate is to partner with individuals, groups, and agencies in building society-stable and acculturated communities through the recognition of individual uniqueness and enhancing people's capabilities by providing the support and services required in achieving a fulfilled life in their community. We innovately seek to provide services for seniors, youths, low-income families and newcomers who need support and services to thrive in their community.
Our programs and services are offered on-site and include inter generational computer literacy for seniors, recreational and socialization activities, healthy life management skills/activities, movie nights.
Organizational Impact:
Our services are supported and highly appreciated by the community housing agencies and their residents that we work with to provide on site support and services. Furthermore due to challenges faced by older adults such as caprices of weather conditions, health challenges/chronic diseases. transportation, safety and to encourage attendance CASE finds it needful to partner with housing agencies for the purpose of offering programs and activities on site to senior residents. Hence CASE has effectively built, leveraged and maintained partner relationship with a variety of other relevant service providers such as educational institutions, government ministries such as Public health, faith based organizations, cultural groups, senior's residents including Pathway Housing and Support Services Inc. which is a non-profit community development organization located in Peel.
Our work with seniors population promotes diversity creates opportunities for productive relationships, healthy environmental and friendly community where participants actively socialize experience decrease loneliness and isolation, hence improving quality of life and lower mortality rate in the community.
