Brampton Multicultural Youth Council (BMYC)
The Brampton Multicultural Youth Council (BMYC) is a youth-run organization striving to unite the community
in order to harness our diversity and, in the process, facilitate social change. BMYC creates awareness about
the social issues that concern today’s youth to bridge the cultural gaps in the community.
MISSION STATEMENT
To provide a platform for youth to empower themselves so that they may create social change within the local
community.
OUR VISION
Youth have the cultural awareness to be actively involved in work to address social issues that impact our
communities and be engaged citizens.
PURPOSE
BMYC aims to increase awareness and reflection regarding one's own cultural background while fostering a
deeper understanding of the diversity that exists around us.
The council works to achieve and facilitate its mission through online campaigns and community events.
BMYC also collaborates with schools, other youth groups, and community organizations.
