Goal

The Program Assistant Volunteer supports older adults in the community in a Day Program setting. 
Description

  • Assist staff members with delivery of a variety of activities for clients.
  • Assist in program preparation
  • Socialize with clients during the day through one to one and group programming
  • Assist with program/activity clean up as needed.
  • Assist with greeting clients at the beginning and end of the day

Qualifications

  • Punctual, dependable and reliable.
  • Desire to socialize with clients. 
  • Able to take direction and follow instructions.

  • Positive attitude.
  • Ability to be part of a team.
  • Understanding and accepting of cognitive and physical impairments.
  • For certain, specific Volunteers positions an offer is conditional on an acceptable Vulnerable Sector Check.
