PCH manages Wellbrook Place, two state-of-the-art Long Term Care homes (Wellbrook Place East and Wellbrook Place West) and Seniors’ Hub at 2180 Speakman Drive in Mississauga. The homes have a combined 632 beds and are a part of PCH’s larger strategy that introduces innovative and inclusive programs and services and new models of care delivery.

Purpose:

Research has shown that having an active social life and consistent habits can reduce the risk of dementia and depression in older adults. In fact, some studies suggest that maintaining a regular beauty routine as you get older can have positive effects on your health. For our residents, visiting our on-site salon is an easy way to boost self-confidence, foster a sense of independence and do a little socializing. Volunteers will assist the salon staff with bringing residents from their rooms to their salon appointments, some light tidying and some light reception relief.
