As a Program Assistant you will engage with young learners, guiding them through an unforgettable journey into the world of engineering. Children will explore the scientific world of STEM by building motorized Lego models all while developing independant learning skills, improving concentration, attention and social skills.
Description

Help children develop their ability to analyze the engineering process and understand the law of physics. Do you enjoy interacting with children by providing instruction or teaching them new skills?  No prior engineering knowledge is required. We will provide you the resources and training required to succeed. You will assist the lead instructor with organizing materials, delivering workshops, helping children with the placement of their Lego peices and making the experience fun and engaging for participants. This is an opportunity to make a difference and light up young minds, insipre innovation and bring joy in a meaningful way.

Time Commitment
This is a Medium Term (4 - 6 months) commitment starting 2025-09-02 AND ending 2026-06-19
Shifts are available on the following days
 - Tuesday Afternoon, Tuesday Evening, Wednesday Afternoon, Wednesday Evening, Thursday Afternoon, Thursday Evening, Friday Afternoon, Friday Evening, Sunday Morning

1.5 - 2 hour daily commitment between 3:00pm to 6:00pm

Starting January 22nd - Every Thursday ( 8 Weeks ) Location: McClure P.S - 50 Parity Road Brampton

Starting January 22nd - Every other Thursday ( 8 Weeks) Location: St. Ceclia - 10 Brickyard  Way Brampton

Starting January 29th - Every other Thursday (8 Weeks) Location: Jefferson P.S - 48 Jefferson Rd Brampton

Starting January 20th - Every other Tuesday (8 Weeks) Location: Fernforest P.S - 275 Fernforest Drive Brampton

Starting January 27th - Every other Tuesday (8Weeks) Location: Lester B Pearson Catholic School -140 Howden Blvd. Brampton
