You will join our Education & Outreach Committee and attend its meetings. Note that committee meetings are called as needed, and may vary in frequency depending on the season. Busiest gardening seasons: early spring through late summer. Busiest education and outreach seasons: early spring.through late fall. Busiest communications seasons: year-round.As an active E&O volunteer, you may choose your own level of participation in the areas you wish, according to your ability and available time.• Communications - assist with newsletter and/or social media output - we are looking for good blog and press release writers.• Events - help make events go smoothly• Fundraising  - help with tasks associated with fundraising• Programs - help with administration tasks such as scheduling appointments and assisting with project management.• Gardening (February to November) - help with gardening tasks 

Volunteers with interest, skill and experience in the following areas are preferred:

• Previous experience in working with groups of people
• Experience in developing equity, diversity, inclusion & accessibility programming
• Outgoing, good communicator - writing skills an asset
• Good time-management skills
• Experience in social media content production is a big plus
• A strong interest in native plants, pollinators, biodiversity and conservation
