The Kidney Foundation of Canada is the national volunteer organization committed to reducing the burden of kidney disease through funding and stimulating innovative research; providing education and support; promoting access to quality healthcare; and increasing public awareness and commitment to advancing kidney health and organ donation.

We are looking for a Programs Office Administrative Volunteer who will be responsible for and assisting with mailing out Blood Pressure Cuffs and Educational Materials from the Mississauga Branch Office.  In this role you will be able to gain work experience, learn and develop new skills, network professionally and socially, while being part of a team.


Description

Volunteer Duties:

Assist with mailing out Blood Pressure CuffsAssist with mailing out Educational MaterialsCommitment: 1 day per week on Wednesdays from 9:30 am-2 pm

Office location: 201-1599 Hurontario St. Mississauga, ON L5G 4S1

Dress Code: Casual

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • Works collaboratively with Branch staff
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Detail oriented and well organized; excellent use of time management
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Willing to learn, follow instruction & work independently
  • Preparing Blood Pressure Monitors for shipment with Canada Post
  • Preparing Brochures shipments and inventory
  • Lifting boxes (max weight 20lbs)

Time Commitment
This is a Medium Term (4 - 6 months) commitment
Shifts are available on the following days
 - Wednesday Morning, Wednesday Afternoon

Training

Orientation & Training: Orientation will be provided by Volunteer Development Coordinator; job training will be provided by the Programs Administrator.
