DescriptionPosition Overview: The Housing Maintenance and Support Volunteer plays a vital role in ensuring the Mississauga House remains a safe, comfortable, and welcoming environment for all residents. This hands-on position involves assisting with general maintenance tasks, minor repairs, and manual labor to support the upkeep of the property. Volunteers will work closely with staff and other volunteers to address maintenance needs promptly and efficiently.​Key Responsibilities: -
General Maintenance: Assist with routine upkeep tasks such as cleaning, painting, and minor repairs to maintain the property's appearance and functionality.​ -
Manual Labor: Support with tasks like lifting, moving furniture, and organizing spaces to ensure the house remains orderly and accessible.​ -
Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and report any hazards or concerns to staff to maintain a safe environment for residents and visitors.​ -
Collaboration: Work alongside staff to complete maintenance projects and respond to urgent repair needs as they arise.

QualificationsTime Commitment:Regular Availability: Monday to Thursday, between 9:00 AM and 4:00 PM​ Flexibility: Hours can be adjusted within this timeframe to accommodate personal schedules, with a minimum commitment of 5-10 hours a week.

Time CommitmentThis is a Medium Term (4 - 6 months) commitment starting 2025-05-01 AND ending 2025-09-01Shifts are available on the following days - Monday Morning, Monday Afternoon, Tuesday Morning, Tuesday Afternoon, Wednesday Morning, Wednesday Afternoon, Thursday Morning, Thursday Afternoon Looking for a regular commitment.
