Goal

Purpose:


November marks Woman Abuse Prevention Month and the official launch of the Wrapped in Courage Campaign, led by the Ontario Association of Interval & Transition Houses (OAITH).

As Peel Region’s only second-stage transitional supportive housing facility for women and children escaping gender-based violence, Armagh proudly participates in the campaign by selling purple scarves and ties throughout November.

Funds raised support our work in providing safe, supportive housing while also helping to raise awareness and advocate for survivors of gender-based violence in our community.


Description

In preparation for the 2025 Wrapped in Courage Campaign, Armagh is seeking dedicated volunteers to support with scarf and tie sales throughout the month of November.

If you're passionate about making a difference in your community and have experience in fundraising, sales, or marketing, we’d love to hear from you!

Your support will help raise vital funds and awareness for survivors of gender-based violence in Peel Region.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support fundraising efforts through a variety of strategies, including in-person outreach, email marketing, social media promotion, phone calls, and other creative approaches.

  • Maintain regular and effective communication with Armagh’s Development Team to provide updates on progress and share insights.

  • Track and report on all scarf and tie sales to ensure accurate and timely record-keeping.

Qualifications

  • Experience: Background in fundraising, sales, or marketing is an asset, particularly in community or nonprofit settings.

  • Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage the public, stay organized, and effectively track and report sales.

  • Commitment: Available to volunteer throughout November in support of the Wrapped in Courage Campaign, with flexibility for event-based and outreach activities.

Time Commitment
This is a Short Term (3 months or less) commitment starting 2025-11-01 AND ending 2025-12-14
Shifts are available Anytime

Training

Volunteers will be onboarded and trained by Armagh's Development Staff.
