Goal

Be part of a growing movement to raise awareness about gender-based violence and take action to help prevent femicide in Ontario. Since 2013, the Wrapped in Courage campaign has brought communities together through the powerful symbol of the purple scarf — a visible show of support for survivors and a call to end violence.

This is more than just a campaign — it's a movement woven with threads of action, courage, and solidarity to end gender-based violence once and for all.


Description

We’re inviting passionate and motivated students (ages 14–18+) to take part in a meaningful volunteer opportunity that drives real change. As a student volunteer for the Wrapped in Courage campaign, you’ll play an essential role in raising awareness about gender-based violence by promoting and selling purple scarves within your school, family, and personal networks.

Whether you're looking to complete your community service hours, build leadership and communication skills, or take action for a cause you truly believe in, this opportunity is for you.

Qualifications

  • Enthusiastic about community engagement — comfortable connecting with friends, family, and personal networks to raise awareness and promote the campaign

  • High school student between the ages of 14–18+

  • Able to commit hours, based on your availability and level of involvement

  • Willing to participate in a  virtual orientation / training session to prepare you for your role and provide campaign materials

This is a Short Term (3 months or less) commitment starting 2025-10-27 AND ending 2025-11-28

Training

All volunteers will be invited to a virtual orientation and training session to help you get started. You’ll learn more about the campaign, receive helpful tips for promoting and selling scarves, and get everything you need to feel confident and prepared.
