Goal

Connect 4 Life is a not-for-profit organization headquartered in the Region of Peel (in Mississauga). Its mission is to, "To enhance the potential of individuals with disabilities by strengthning their independence and contributions to society; and to promote positive social change by transforming public perception".The Volunteer Community & CEO Liaison provides support to the CEO and serves as a key ambassador for the organization's mission, values, and strategic goals.  The role will be yours to fulfill and the impact of your volunteer engagement will be what you make it!

Description

Position Summary

As Community & CEO Liaison, you’ll work closely with the CEO to keep the organization connected, responsive, and moving forward.

This role is about teamwork — supporting the CEO day-to-day, helping with programs, and nurturing the relationships that allow our mission to thrive.

 

 

What You’ll Do

  • Partner with the CEO to stay on top of daily follow-ups, reminders, and organizational tasks.
  • Review and help manage emails, ensuring communication is clear, timely, and thoughtful.
  • Support the planning and coordination of programs and events.
  • Help strengthen relationships with community members, partners, and supporters.
  • Serve as a reliable point of contact when the CEO isn’t available, keeping things running smoothly.
  • Collaborate directly with the CEO on new ideas and opportunities that can grow our impact.

What We’re Looking For

  • Dependable, organized, and motivated by teamwork.
  • Available 15-20 hours per week (Remote)
  • Comfortable with communication, outreach, and relationship-building.
  • Flexible and willing to jump in where needed to support day-to-day priorities.
  • Professional and discreet when handling sensitive information.

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • Previous volunteer or work experience in community services, non profit, public relations or related field.
  • Leadership ability - demonstrated capacity to lead initiatives and collaborate with others.
  • Understanding of non profit operations, community needs, and volunteer management.
  • Commitment to the mission and values of the organization -ability to address challenges and find solutions.
  • Integrity, independent judgment, and the ability to build consensus.
  • Education - post secondary education in related field is an asset

Time Commitment
This is a Long Term (More than 6 months) commitment starting 2025-09-01 AND ending 2025-10-13
Shifts are available Anytime

This position is Remote


Training

On the job training will be provided - this position is Remote and requires a committment of 15-20 hours per week.

Possible in- person events throughout the term (1-3)
