Goal

Cooksville Community Collaborative hub is looking for 8 to 12 residents for the resident advisory council, and the main idea is for residents to advise the Cooksville Community Collaborative. 

To represent the voices, experiences, and priorities of Cooksville residents by advising the Cooksville Community Collaborative (CCC) on strategic directions, key issues, and initiatives that impact the neighbourhood.

 


Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Advise and validate CCC’s strategic direction, key issues, and initiatives.

  • Act as a liaison between the wider Cooksville community and CCC partners.

  • Share information with residents about neighbourhood revitalization and local changes.

  • Support community engagement and promote inclusion.

  • Nominate one CRAC member to represent resident perspectives on the Cooksville Neighbourhood Steering Table (CNST).

  • Nominate one CRAC member to sit on each CCC Action Group.

  • Identify and communicate community work outside CCC that could be leveraged for collaboration or to avoid duplication.

  • Provide resident perspectives to steering tables, action groups, or ad-hoc groups, as needed.

Qualifications

  • Must be a resident of Cooksville (bounded by Mavis to the west, Cawthra to the east, QEW to the south, and railway tracks to the north).

  • Commitment to inclusive community development and neighbourhood improvement.

  • Ability to work collaboratively with diverse residents and partners.
