• Support staff with the setup and takedown of activities, booths, and event spaces.
• Assist with the facilitation and supervision of event activities while serving as a positive role model.
• Promote teamwork, engagement, and a spirit of fairness throughout event program.
• Support the creation of a positive and inclusive environment that encourages respectful interaction among attendees.
• Provide guidance and encouragement to participants as they take part in programs, challenges, or other activities.
• Help answer questions and provide information to attendees about event activities and schedules.
• Provide general support to participants and vendors
• Assist with crowd flow, line management, and maintaining safety guidelines throughout the event.
• Report any incidents, injuries, or behavioural concerns to event staff or supervisors.  

• Interest in community events and public engagement
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with staff, participants, and community members
• Responsible, dependable, and punctual
• Ability to follow directions and safety guidelines
• Minimum age requirement: 14 years of age

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience volunteering at community events
• Experience working with children, seniors, or diverse populations
• First Aid / CPR certification
• VSC Check is Required 

Training is required for this position. Volunteer hours will be credited upon completion of training. The training date will be shared closer to the event.
