GoalThe Media and Video Creation Volunteer supports the Outreach and Development Department in producing digital content that highlights DBNC’s mission and vision. This includes assisting in content development for social media, helping create and edit video and podcast content, and supporting digital storytelling initiatives. The role offers a hands-on opportunity to build experience in media production, digital strategy, and communications.

DescriptionWork Hours: 20 Hours/ Week (On-Site) Days of Operation: Monday- Friday (9:00AM-4:30PM) DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: - Media / video content development
- Support the development of original, innovative content (video, podcast, social media) in alignment with the organization’s brand strategy and campaign goals
- Assist in editing and producing video content for campaigns, events, and community stories
- Contribute to the planning and execution of podcast episodes including scripting, recording, and postproduction
- Utilize tools such as Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, DaVince Resolve, or similar software to design and edit content
- Capture and edit photo and video footage from events and programs
- Collaborate with staff to create digital assets that amplify storytelling and community engagement
- Digital and Social Media Support
- Help maintain the organization’s social media presence by scheduling and publishing content across platforms (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube, X)
- Assist in creating digital assets tailored to each platform, maintaining brand consistency
- Track and report on engagement metrics to support ongoing content improvement
- Research current digital trends to enhance outreach efforts and creative strategy
- Team and Project Support
- Collaborate with staff and be a team player
- Maintain organized files and folders for all media projects
- Participate in team meetings and planning sessions as required
- Ensure sensitive content is treated with discretion and professionalism

QualificationsQUALIFICATIONS: - Interest in social media, digital storytelling, or multimedia production
- Basic experience with video/audio editing software (Adobe Premiere, Canva, DaVince Resolve, Final Cut)
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Time CommitmentThis is a Medium Term (4 - 6 months) commitment starting 2026-05-18Shifts are available AnytimePlease apply if you have availability during the week days (Monday- Friday) during working hours of operation (9:00AM-4:30PM) A desirable candidate can provide 2-3 days of in-office support.
