Goal

The Peel Children's Aid Society (PCAS) protects children from abuse and neglect and helps parents and caregivers build healthy families with support of our Peel community. Our Volunteer Tutors assist children with school work and overall learning challenges with which they are struggling. Volunteers schedule tutoring sessions with the support of workers and caregivers, and often in collaboration with the teacher for the subject, remedial/practice plans and activities will be implemented to help the child with their learning needs.

We are recruiting running group mentors to support youth ages 13-18 yrs old in preparing them to participate as a group and learn about running and good health.


Description

Youth participate as a group once weekly, once independent and once a week with a mentor to train to run the Mississauga Marathon. Youth also benefit from social interaction with their mentor on a personal level.

Qualifications

Running Mentors must be able to run 10K.

Max Age: 99   
Police Check: Required

Proof of Vaccination: Not required


Time Commitment
This is a Long Term (More than 6 months) commitment
Shifts are available Anytime

To be determined by running group committee


Training

Schedule is set by the Running group committee annually.
