Goal

Punjabi Community Health Services (PCHS) has a mandate to provide health and social services to diverse communities within Peel Region. Our core programs include mental health and addictions, geriatric services, settlement services, children and youth, and family services. All services can be provided in South Asian languages. PCHS is looking to recruit a dynamic volunteer with experience in editing and recording videos to contribute talent and creativity to our 'PCHS TV' channel. This individual will support the Media and Communications team. Much of the engagement will be 'remote', and the health and safety of our volunteers and staff during COBID-19 is first and foremost. As our 'Video Recorder & Editor' volunteer, you will be key to communicating the PCHS vision and mission to the communities that we serve.


Description

PCHS is looking to recruit a dynamic volunteer with experience in editing and recording videos to contribute talent and creativity to our 'PCHS TV' channel. This individual will be responsible for supporting the Media and Communications team member. Mandates for this 'role' include, but are not necessarily limited to, the following: - Editing videos for 'PCHS TV' - Support Media and Communications team in recording videos *** PCHS strictly adheres to the procedures mandated by the COVID-19 Emergency PLEASE do not hesitate to APPLY for this volunteering opportunity during the COVID-19 Emergency. Qualifications

  • Experience with editing and recording videos
  • Excellent communication skills (English, and fluency in South Asian language(s) is a definite asset)
  • You are 'project-oriented', able to respect and abide by project timelines/deadlines
  • You're a 'team player', plus you're comfortable volunteering independently
  • Access to equipment/software for video recording/editing purposes
  • Prepared to commit to a volunteer engagement for a MINIMUM of 6 MONTHS

Time Commitment
This is a Long Term (More than 6 months) commitment
Shifts are available Anytime

Volunteers are expected to commit to a 6 MONTH engagement, and to devote a minimum number of hours per month to this role, while respecting deadlines for projects (and tasks otherwise) undertaken. Specifics of a MONTHLY SCHEDULE, etc. to be addressed during the screening process.
