GoalAs a Wheels of Hope Volunteer Driver, you’ll be an key part of each client’s support team, and your familiarity with CCS programs/services will also enable you to refer to them to appropriate resources that will ensure everyone has access to the supports needed. You will be part of the larger Wheels of Hope team, including over 1,600 volunteer drivers and many staff who share your desire to help as many people as possible get to their treatments and have access to vital resources |

QualificationsIn taking on the role of Wheels of Hope Volunteer Driver, you understand that cancer can change everything and that CCS clients accessing critical programs and services is a top priority. Specific requirements:

Time CommitmentThis is a Any Duration commitment
Shifts are available on the following days - Monday Morning, Monday Afternoon, Tuesday Morning, Tuesday Afternoon, Wednesday Morning, Wednesday Afternoon, Thursday Morning, Thursday Afternoon, Friday Morning, Friday Afternoon FLEXIBLE, subject to a mutually agreed WEEKLY SCHEDULE: We ask our volunteer drivers to dedicate a MINIMUM of a half-day to one day weekly, although we are able to accommodate those able to give a few days a month or during particular times of the year (ie summer months, winter months). Every effort will be given to providing you with your schedule at least 3 days ahead of time, bearing in mind client demand and other factors, including your preference/availability. |

TrainingORIENTATION and TRAINING are provided, together with ongoing support from your local Transportation Coordinator, who will be providing your driving schedule and be there to help you throughout your time on the road. |
