Goal

WHAT IS THE TRCA?: As part of a provincial network created to manage and protect the Environment, the Toronto Region Conservation Authority (TRCA) is mandated to safeguard and enhance the health and well-being of watershed communities through the protection and restoration of the natural environment and the ecological services the environment provides. We are committed to protect, conserve and restore natural resources and develop resilient communities through education, the application of science, community engagement, service excellence and collaboration with our partners.

PROGRAM: The Conservation Youth Corps program offers Peel Region high school students the opportunity to volunteer for a week assisting with conservation projects. Volunteers work in crews with other high school students on outdoor tasks and can earn up to 35 community service hours through participation. The goal is to improve the state of the natural environment while empowering youth through education and hands-on training.
