GoalPosition Description:To organize and executive CPCC/OEYC special events and fundraising activities. Purpose of Position: To generate additional funds and enhance community relations in an effort to strengthen the Centre's capacity for program and service delivery. |

DescriptionResponsibilities include:a) Attend meetingsb) Serve on sub-committeesc) Plan and participate in special events and fundraising activities d) Participate in and support solicitation of sponsorships and donationse) Continued awareness, plus collaboration in formulating fund development monetary goals and the overarching fund development strategyf) Monitor budget items as assignedg) Ensure all promotional materials/communications are consistent with the CPCC/OEYC core marketing messagesh) Support staff in publicizing events and fundraising activities i) Adhere to fundraising policies and procedures |

Qualifications● Minimum Age - 19● In order to promote continuity and consistency in this key role, CPPCC/OEYC requests a commitment of at least 6 months by the volunteer● Solid oral/written English● Friendly, engaging, confident and ready to network● Prior involvement in 'event planning' is welcome, and an asset● Ability to volunteer as part of a team, plus undertake and complete tasks/projects independently● Organized, ready to plan, with attention to deal, including meeting deadlinesApplications for this 'volunteer position' will entail a screening process that includes a satisfactory 'Police Vulnerable Sector Check', and interview, and 3 References. Time CommitmentThis is a Long Term (More than 6 months) commitment starting 2019-09-09
Shifts are available Anytime Attend monthly committee meetings and participate in event planning from September to June. On-call basis as events/ activities are scheduled. |

TrainingGeneral orientation to the CPCC/OEYC, including policies and procedures. A copy of the Volunteer Handbook will be provided and applicable Agreements signed. Direction will be provided by Committee Chair. |
