Goal

'Active Adult Centre of Mississauga' seeks an experienced 'Technology Tutor' to teach basic computer and technology skills to seniors (incl. Internet access, use, and management). Our volunteers are the heart of our Centre. They brighten lives by standing strong together and providing highly skilled support to our members, staff, and guests.
Description

This opportunity is ideal for one individual or a group of 3, and would provide one-on-one support or teach a group to utilize technology such as: - Snapchat, Instagram, Pinterest, etc. - Email and download support - Document upload support - Browsing the Internet

Qualifications

● Well versed and/or working knowledge of various social media applications including Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, etc. ● Ability to teach (and discuss) information technology in laypersons' terms ● Friendly, engaging, empathetic and patient towards older adults

Time Commitment
This is a Short Term (3 months or less) commitment
Shifts are available on the following days
 - Wednesday Afternoon

3 months commitment required for the role - Tutor time is flexible.
Training

Orientation about the Centre and its facilities will be provided.
