Goal

To provide patrons in Brampton's four theatres with the ultimate experience in customer service and in the event of an emergency, provide patrons with guidance through the emergency.


Description

As a Theatre Volunteer, there are 2 primary purposes for your role:1. Provide beyond excellent customer service to patrons, staff and other volunteers; and2. Provide guidance to patrons in an emergency situation.You are responsible for:• Greeting patrons as they enter a theatre• Scanning or ripping their tickets and ensure they know where they are going• Providing direction to their seats• answering any questions patron may have

You will gain training and experience in customer service and health and safety management. You will also be working towards volunteering incentives. Each hour you volunteer with the City of Brampton, earns you points towards great rewards.


Qualifications

To become a Theatre Volunteer with the City of Brampton, you are required to complete an on-line application. Theatre events will require you to have the following requirements:- 16 years of age and older- enthusiasm, able to work as a team, great attitude- You are required to attend a City of Brampton orientation.- Police Clearance Certificate (some events will also require vulnerable sector screening depending on the position)- Shadow training - you will be required to participate in Shadow training (6 shows) before becoming a full-fledged ushe

Time Commitment
This is a Long Term (More than 6 months) commitment
Shifts are available Anytime

There are varied shifts as a Theatre Program Volunteer and you can sign up for any of the shifts according to the opportunities you see on the scheduled in your "MyVolunteerPage".


Training

All volunteers with the City of Brampton must attend a City of Brampton orientation prior to volunteering with the City. One orientation will cover any department with the City.
