Goal

You will develop your leadership skills, build your school spirit and fight cancer by bringing Relay For Life to your school!


Description

- Relay For Life is a party with a purpose and your school's chance to come together to fight cancer and save lives! It's a unique program for students to lead and create a fun, active event for the entire school, with the support of teachers and staff.- Volunteers have the chance to plan an amazing event that could include live music, DJs, games, sports and other activities to keep fellow students engaged and active throughout the event. - Students will form relay teams to fundraise and take turn walking or running around your school's track, passing the baton to teammates to achieve personal or team distance goals, and connect with others in this emotionally inspiring event.

You will gain valuable skills through planning and running this event at your school. You will develop your leadership skills, unite your school, strengthen your community and fight back against cancer through this event.


Qualifications

If you want to develop your leadership skills and fight cancer, you are qualified! We work with you to train and mentor you and your committee to make sure you can plan and host a successful Relay For Life event at your school.

Time Commitment
This is a Any Duration commitment
Shifts are available Anytime

You will build a committee of students at your school to plan this event, meeting at lunch or after school when you are all available.


Training

You will work with a Relay For Life Youth Specialist who will help you plan and run this event at your school. We also have a 1-day training conference each February that provides you with the necessary skills to run this event at your school.
