'Social Media Volunteers', principally by means of photography (and videography), record our residents' participation in events and MICBA programs, for the purpose of placing images on various common 'social media' platforms. In this way:- MICBA's facilities and programs are promoted, and our communities become increasingly aware- Residents' families/friends enjoy the sharing of events, etc.- Social interactions grow, with benefits for allSpecifically:- Residents gather where the program/event is occurring- Volunteers report to Recreation/Volunteer Coordinator for camera- Volunteers photograph and document the event (take notes, interview residents, etc.)- Volunteers create a post on 'social media' (eg. ● The nature of the role is such that MICBA requests an overall volunteer commitment of MORE THAN 6 MONTHS (to promote/sustain consistency in coverage of events/programs)● Excellent, demonstrated oral/written English communication skills (Italian welcome)● Familiarity with social media platforms, marketing terms, and strategies● Experience with digital photography(videography) preferred, PLUS committed, engaging volunteers will be able to learn on the job (refine talent/basic skills)● Ability to use social media channels to promote MICBA (Instagram, YouTube, Facebook)● Strong organizational and time management skills● Ability to volunteer as a team member● Recent 'Police Vulnerable Sector Check' required
