GoalCaledon Meals on Wheels (CMOW) believes in and continues to build and sustain a community where individuals can enjoy healthy, independent and active living at any age. Principally, we deliver meals (hot or frozen) to residents 65 and older (living in Caledon, Bolton, Orangeville) supporting independent living. CMOW also provides support through other programs intended to promote health and wellness such as the Let's Exercise ProgramLet's Exercise - This volunteer lead program supports seniors with simple, progressive, in-home exercise allowing our clients to connect socially on a weekly basis while giving them an opportunity to enhance and maintain their functional fitness, mobility and independence. This exercise program is facilitated by one of our trained volunteers which also allows isolated clients an opportunity for a social visit at the same time. |

DescriptionThis program will engage seniors, especially those who are at risk for, or are currently socially isolated in a simple, progressive volunteer lead exercise in their (client) home on a regular basis. This program will provide seniors the opportunityto maintain or enhance their functional fitness, mobility and independence through exercise. See GOAL, above. When they join the program, volunteers will receive a TEP (CCAA's Tiered Exercise Program)TRAINING from the volunteer coordinator to be shared with clients in their homes on a weekly basis. You are invited to apply through the CMOW website (see Social Media, below), or through Volunteer MBC, as a client with a profile within its Referral System. Clients can click the yellow box 'Apply Now!' and gain immediate access to the CMOW volunteer application form. After you apply, as a precaution, please monitor your Junk/Spam email folders and leave space on your voicemail for communications from CMOW. |

Shifts are available on the following days - Monday Morning, Monday Afternoon, Tuesday Morning, Tuesday Afternoon, Wednesday Morning, Wednesday Afternoon, Thursday Morning, Thursday Afternoon, Friday Morning, Friday Afternoon ***WEEKLY: Hours are available Monday through Friday, between 9:00 AM and 3:00PM
