GoalThe Special Olympics would not exist, and could not have been created, without the time, energy, commitment, and enthusiasm of people just like you, individuals who choose to take a little time from busy schedules to make the world a better place. More than 400 Special Olympic coaches and other volunteers in support across the province make our programs possible and make a huge difference in the lives of our athletes. As a 'Volunteer Athletic Coach', 'Assistant', or in 'Support', you will enjoy the personal challenge and the satisfaction of enriching our athletes' lives through organized individual and team sports and other recreational activities. |
|||
DescriptionYou don't need a sports background to volunteer with Caledon Special Olympics. All you need is enthusiasm for helping empower people with intellectual disabilities through sport. Many volunteer positions are available that relate to recreational activities, including coaching roles (head coach, assistant coach), and volunteers who support our athletic programs. In keeping with the ongoing relationships that coaching necessarily requires and develops, Caledon Special Olympics expects its volunteers to make not only a regular commitment in practice time (weekly, monthly), but also an overall commitment that will see our athletes through to the various local and regional meets/competitions that are scheduled over an extended period. PLEASE SUBMIT YOUR APPLICATION ASAP (Summer is here!) |
