GoalAs a programming volunteer, you will aid in developing, implementing and executing fun programs for our community at Studio.89! Programs are continuous at Studio.89. They can range from a series of workshops based on film, art, social activism to anything topical that will benefit our amazing community. |

DescriptionEver had a vision of the perfect program? Is there a program that you want to see happen? Studio.89 has got your back. As a social justice, youth and arts-based space, we pride ourselves on developing and executing programs that can benefit our community! You will be responsible for research, outreach, promotional material, assisting guest facilitators, plus provide your own ideas for programming and what it entails. Current programs at Studio.89 include Senior's Connect, our Youth Social Justice Team, Borders & Bridges, Film Making Workshops, and there are many more that we will be creating! Ideas in place range from Creative Writing Activism Workshops, Youth Drama programs, etc. PLEASE APPLY ASAP (Studio.89 is expanding its programs!) BenefitsAs a Programming Volunteer, you will learn all aspects of program planning. Through research, you will learn about other non-profits and ways we can partner with them to create programs for the community. When you engage in outreach, you'll meet potential donors, non-profit organizations leaders, and you will be able to create your own connections that will benefit you in the long run. You will also have the ability to create meaningful relationships with other programming volunteers, and with participants of the programs that you will execute. You learn all these skills while gaining volunteer hours! Yay! |

Qualifications● Must have a knowledge and passion for social justice and social change● A resume is required to apply (see 'Position Description', above)● Solid oral/written communication skills required● Ability to conduct research (through use of various media - Internet, library resources, etc.) is an asset● Familiarity with program structures (eg. seminar format) is an asset● Friendly and engaging with like-minded volunteers and members of the public Age range: 15 to 30 Police Check: Not required Resume:Not required Driver's Licence: Not required Proof of Vaccination: Not required |

Time CommitmentThis is a Medium Term (4 - 6 months) commitment starting 2019-02-11
Shifts are available Anytime Flexible work schedule. |

TrainingYou will be working closely with our Program Coordinator, who will train you on program coordination at Studio.89. |
