Description

Abbey Cat Adoptions is looking for passionate and committed volunteers to take on the role of 'Adoption Counsellors'. An 'Adoption Counsellor' helps correspond with and screen potential adopters through our adoption interview process (that principally involves telephone interviews and also includes in-home appointments).PLEASE APPLY AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. The need to gain adoptions for our cats and kittens is constant.

Qualifications

● Prior experience with cats (kittens) would be helpful (not mandatory)● Screening experience also helpful (not mandatory)● Excellent oral/written communication skills (incl. comfortable using MS Word, Excel, Google Docs, etc.)● Able to conduct interviews/gather information (friendly, engaging with the public)● Excellent 'customer service' skills that also includes 'marketing & promotion' (of our 'brand' and services)● Able to cooperate with next adoption counsellor on duty for the purpose of providing information and ensuring continuity in the interview/adoption process● Reliable, organized, able to make/keep appointments, plus report on thesePLEASE NOTE: The role entails a commitment that exceeds SIX (6) MONTHS (preferably ONE YEAR).

This is a Long Term (More than 6 months) commitment starting 2018-08-20
Shifts are available Anytime

We operate according to TWO (2) daily work periods, 7 days a week.9 a.m. - 5 p.m. and5 p.m. - 9 p.m.Volunteers are expected to be flexible in terms of times for arranging/conducting interviews.
