Goal'Abbey Cat Adoptions' is a registered charity dedicated to finding permanent homes for abandoned cats and kittens in the Greater Toronto Area. We work closely with foster homes and potential adopters to find a suitable match between families and their new pet.Abbey Cat Adoptions is once again expanding our team, and looking for one individual to step into the 'Volunteer Coordinator' role. The ideal candidate will be anticipating a long-term management level role within a cat rescue. |

DescriptionOur search is for a passionate cat-lover who has some free time to take on the responsibility as the Abbey Cat's Volunteer Coordinator. This role involves overseeing our volunteer program, recruiting new volunteers as needed, supervising existing volunteers, developing/integrating new training materials, and more.This person ideally is a natural leader, who is dedicated to 'Abbey Cat Adoptions' fundamental goal of helping find forever homes for our cats. |

QualificationsThe ideal volunteer applicant should have a strong understanding/application of time management, as this is an 'remote role' that will require a high degree of organization and sustained self-motivation.Applicants will be expected to commit to the role for at least 6 MONTHS.Our preferred applicant:● is incredibly well organized● consistently takes the initiative● has a basic understanding of animal rescues● is familiar (and comfortable) with 'Google Sheets'● enjoys creative brainstorming● is resourceful, willing to try new methods and problem-solve● is friendly, engaging with the public, demonstrating empathy about the needs and challenges involved in successful cat adoptions● works well as part of a team that is committed to a common goalNot required, but definite assets:* background in Human Resources* experience as a long-term volunteer with a cat rescue or similar not-for-profit* experience in a management-level role with a not-for-profit Police Check: Not required Resume:Not required Driver's Licence: Not required Proof of Vaccination: Not required |
