Goal'Studio.89' is a social enterprise project of 'Youth Troopers for Global Awareness' (YTGA), a youth-led not-for-profit organization that mobilizes and empowers young people for social justice through the arts. Born in 2006 in Mississauga, Ontario, YTGA was founded by a group of very passionate students determined to bring about awareness of global and local issues through creative writing, visual art, theatre, and spoken word. We aim to be accessible and inclusive to all youth, all over the world!Our 'Outreach Volunteers' play an integral role in supporting Studio.89 to reach out to the community and build awareness, and in doing so contribute significantly to actualization of our mission to empower youth. Outreach volunteers also will assist in attracting more volunteers through various outreach activities. |

DescriptionAs an outreach volunteer, you will be helping in raising awareness of Studio.89 through events and other channels into the community.In the process, you will actively recruit volunteers for our organization.You will help in identifying areas in the community which would benefit from increased visibility and identifying effective outreach and marketing, targeting community audiences and catchment. You may be required to do fieldwork outside Studio.89, passing out flyers, coupons, talking to community centers, schools, other non-profit organizations, etc. You will also keep records of opportunities found, new leads, thereby creating partnerships and presence in Peel.PLEASE APPLY ASAP ... Qualifications● Must have knowledge of and passion for social justice and social change● Friendly, outgoing, plus ready and committed to engage with the public at Studio.89 and in-the-field, individually and in groups● A resume is required to apply● Solid oral/written communication skills required● Ability to conduct research (through the use of various media - Internet, library resources, etc.) is an asset● Organized, reliable● Age range: 15-30 Police Check: Not required Resume:Not required Driver's Licence: Not required Proof of Vaccination: Not required |
