Goal

'Studio.89' is a social enterprise project of 'Youth Troopers for Global Awareness' (YTGA), a youth-led not-for-profit organization that mobilizes and empowers young people for social justice through the arts. Born in 2006 in Mississauga, Ontario, YTGA was founded by a group of very passionate students determined to bring about awareness of global and local issues through creative writing, visual art, theatre, and spoken word. We aim to be accessible and inclusive to all youth, all over the world!Internet marketing has become an essential tool for organizations to promote and gain awareness. Studio.89 seeks volunteers who are experienced in using 'social media' to post and promote events, plus generate both general and focused awareness of Studio.89's mission/outreach in our community!


Description

Volunteers expand Studio.89's presence/profile online (and subsequently in our physical community).As a Social Media Volunteer, You will be assisting the Events Coordinator with identifying and scheduling holidays and specialty social media posts, while developing and adhering to a 'social media' schedule. You will be responsible for identifying new avenues for targeting consumer markets and increasing event visibility, plus raise Studio.89's community profile overall.You will create and revise signage, keeping in line with branding protocols, and also, you will reach out to existing events in the area for clarification on successes and failures.PLEASE APPLY (volunteering 'position' is available immediately). Qualifications

● Must have a knowledge and passion for social justice and social change● Familiarity with different social media platforms such as Facebook, Snapchat, Instagram, Twitter, etc.● Corresponding competency in computer skills/applications (Internet, email management, etc.)● Solid oral/written communication skills required● Friendly, engaging, curious, with passion to commit to the community● Organized, committed to develop and respect effective scheduling● Age range: 15 - 30
