Goal

Free for All Foundation (FFAF) is a community-based, charitable organization that provides youth, seniors, and their families with a wide range of services and programs to promote their well-being. FFAF aims to create sustainable, dynamic, and accessible youth programs and opportunities in the Region of Peel to support young people in becoming successful learners, confident individuals, effective contributors to society, and responsible citizens. Volunteering as a program mentor at FREE FOR ALL FOUNDATION (FFAF) is full of opportunities. You will be planning and implementing engaging activities for the children and youth who access our services. Primary responsibilities will be overseeing the development of activities, engaging with our exciting youth, and working as a team member to achieve organizational goals.


Description

  • Volunteers must have the ability to access and facilitate activities online 
  • Implement positive mentoring techniques to children and youth of various ages
  • Display a willingness to help youth develop and achieve success
  • After volunteer screening, successful candidates will be matched to youth, and mentoring will begin!

Qualifications

  • Experience working with camps, children, or activity planning is preferred
  • Dedicated to serving others and the willingness to complete tasks assigned
  • MAXIMUM age for this role is 30 
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, problem-solving skills, with a focus on patient interaction with youth
  • High level of responsibility and accountability (incl. respect for privacy)

Time Commitment
This is a Medium Term (4 - 6 months) commitment starting 2024-01-08 AND ending 2024-08-30
