Goal

The Centre for Education & Training (TCET) is a not-for-profit, progressive corporation located in Peel region. We enhance the self sufficiency and effectiveness of individuals and organizations by offering customized education, training and career resource solutions. We empower our clients by providing opportunities that enhance career development and personal growth.VERY SHORTLY (as of September 23rd), TCET will deliver an important personal growth program, known as 'EmpowHer', designed to help young women between the ages of 18 and 30 become part of their community through volunteerism , while helping them develop skills that will empower them to become ambassadors of change in their community. This Free 10-week Civic Engagement Program is coordinated by The Centre for Education and Training and funded by the Government of Canada under the Canada Service Corps program.IF you reside in Peel region, and are eager to 'network', learn in depth about your community, plus use (and refine) your skills in an empowering volunteer civic engagement, 'EmpowHer' is THE IDEAL PROGRAM FOR YOU. Description

'EmpowHer' is exclusively for women aged 18 to 30, residing in Peel region.Program is comprised of TWO (2) parts:12 day in-class session40 hours of volunteer community service in Peel regionFIRST SESSION DATES: Sept 23, 27, 30; Oct 1, 2, 9, 14, 17, 21, 25, 29, 30, plus additional days for volunteeringMANDATORY INFORMATION/ORIENTATION DATES: SEPT 5 & 9, 2019 (CHOOSE ONE) > Community Door, 50 Burnhamthorpe Rd W (Unit 300), Mississauga, OntarioPLEASE APPLY IMMEDIATELY for this UNIQUE PROGRAM: Email your resume to tguidolin@tcet.com. Qualifications

● Female gender, age range - 18 to 30● Ordinarily resident in Peel region (Mississauga, Brampton, Caledon)● Attendance at MANDATORY INFORMATION/ORIENTATION session (see 'Description', above)● Able to commit to the entire program schedule, and to complete program requirements● Personally invested in self-improvement, combined with a commitment to contribute to your local community through volunteerism

Time Commitment
This is a Short Term (3 months or less) commitment starting 2019-09-23 AND ending 2019-10-31
Shifts are available on the following days
 - Monday Morning, Tuesday Morning, Wednesday Morning, Thursday Morning, Friday Morning

Weekdays (Mon - Fri): 10 AM to 1 PMVolunteering time periods during the program are subject to requirements of the roles engaged in.
