GoalThe Rotary Club of Palgrave is part of a global service club movement that sees us making an impact in our local community, our nation, and across the world. We provide service to others, promote integrity, and advance world understanding, goodwill, and peace through our fellowship of business, professional, and community leaders.The Evening Gala is our Club's second largest fundraising event of the year, when we raise funds to drive all our projects locally, within Canada, and internationally. This requires about 10 volunteers to support us by being there for our guests throughout the evening, from 5.30 pm - 1.00 amIF INTERESTED, PLEASE CONTACT IAN KITTLE AT 905-583-0580 OR iskittle@rogers.com. Description> Volunteers are needed to manage the arrival table, issuing wristbands for bidding on live and silent auction items, recording the name and telephone contact number of those guests> Volunteers will be monitoring the silent auction tables, and assist with the live auction of the top 5 bid items> Volunteers will be selling raffle tickets for the draw for three collections of quality wine> Volunteers will be supervising the sale of selected Rotary wine bottles to guests for their table consumption> Volunteers will be assisting with the payment by guests for their bid silent auction items> Volunteers will assist with general tasks which may arise or be unforeseen> Volunteers will have fun knowing they are helping with a great cause |

Time CommitmentThis is a Special Event commitment starting 2019-11-09 AND ending 2019-11-09
Shifts are available on the following days - Saturday Evening 5.30 pm - 1.00 am (after 11.30 pm, volunteers may leave if main tasks are complete. ie: silent auction items have been paid for and distributed to winning bidders) |
