GoalBereaved Families of Ontario, Halton-Peel is a non-profit, charitable organization offering compassion and care for individuals coping with the death of a loved one. We provide mutual support programs and services for families and individuals experiencing grief. Our goal is to provide a safe, non-judgmental space where participants leave feeling heard, validated and are equipped with sufficient coping strategies. We are currently recruiting Overdose Loss Grief Support Group Facilitators for our Overdose Loss Support Group. This Support Group will be conducted virtually, and the group will start on Monday, January 3rd. More information can be found below. |

DescriptionOur 8-Week, Closed Support Group will run on a weekly basis in the evenings with 1-2 Facilitators leading each group. This group will run every Monday from 6:30pm-8:00pm via Zoom for 8 weeks. VOLUNTEER GROUP FACILITATOR SUMMARY Our Group Facilitators lead support groups for individuals who have experienced a loss through the death of a loved one; leading peer-to-peer support delivery with compassion and understanding in a non-judgmental environment. Time CommitmentThis is a Medium Term (4 - 6 months) commitment starting 2022-01-03 AND ending 2022-02-28
Shifts are available on the following days - Monday Evening This group will run every Monday from 6:30pm-8:00pm via Zoom for 8 weeks. Facilitators meet 15 minutes prior to group's start time and 15 minutes after group's end time (6:15pm-8:15pm). |
