Goal

At the heart of 'Caledon Community Services' (CCS) is an innovative and exciting volunteer program that is integrated into every service, activity, project and business operation of the agency. From students to seniors, business professionals, homemakers, newly-retired, semi-retired, and everything in between, volunteers reflect the Caledon demographic and help us serve the community more fully.A CCS featured service is the Caledon Specialist Clinic, where medical specialists come to evaluate and treat patients residing in Caledon who have been referred by primary care doctors or nurse practitioners.Volunteers are needed to assist the Coordinator. This would involve dealing with the specialists, nurses, patients, and assisting during one-on-one clinical events.


Description

This role entails assisting staff at the Clinic, including:- Office administrative tasks- Acting as 'General Reception'- Making medical appointments (telephone/in person)- Assisting nursing staff when requested- Other tasks as requested and necessary for the smooth operation of the ClinicPLEASE APPLY AT YOUR EARLIEST CONVENIENCE for this unique volunteering opportunity. Qualifications

● Minimum Age - 19● Satisfactory 'Police Check' required● Established 'customer service' skills/aptitude (Telephone/in person)● Excellent oral/written English● Organized, detail-oriented, and reliable● Able to follow directions from medical staff● Commitment to be a beneficial part of the Clinic team, plus volunteer independently as directed● Strict adherence to (patient) privacy/confidentiality

Time Commitment
This is a Medium Term (4 - 6 months) commitment

Training

Orientation to the Clinic and the requirements of the role will be provided at the outset of the volunteering engagement and on an ongoing basis.
