Position Description:
As a fundraising volunteer, you will search for grant opportunities and donation of physical items. You will check grant requirements, through online searches and phone inquiries, and prepare for materials required to support specific applications.
You will help in creating templates and a system of formal letters to solicit donations and show appreciation for received donations from both corporate and private supporters, and create marketing tools (letters, eblasts, telephone protocols, marketing during events, etc.) to leverage sponsors for physical items, such as paint/construction materials, arts, and programming materials, plus invite event sponsorships, etc.
You will be collaborating with the Leadership Team and Events Coordinator to implement fundraising events.
You will also aid in identifying ways to increase private donations during fundraising campaigns, with existing supporters, and as part of events.
