Position Description |
> Volunteers cook and bake simple meals for palliative individuals. They provide assistance in the kitchen and help restock supplies and maintain kitchen cleanliness. > They prepare attractive simple meals such as: sandwiches, omelettes, muffins, soup, jello, cake, tea, juice on a tray, to be delivered to our resident individuals. > Volunteers clean equipment, dishes, and adhere to health and safety standards/regulations. |
Training Details |
Orientation: We ask that volunteers meet with our volunteer coordinator, complete application form and successfully complete a police check. Training will be mostly a process of 'shadowing' an experienced volunteer. |

Time Detail | We run 4 hour shifts in the kitchen at The Dorothy Ley Hospice. The times are: Breakfast, 8 - 12, lunch 12 - 4pm, Dinner, 4 - 8 pm. Because the kitchen is 100% managed by volunteers, we ask that you be punctual and dependable. |
