Position Description |
Visiting volunteers can accomplish this in a variety of ways, including: reading books, watching TV together, going for a walk in the park, doing scrapbooking projects, recording recipes to be passed along, light meal preparation, accompanying someone to a show or a religious/faith outing, etc. Some volunteers are trained in therapies such as reiki and therapeutic touch. This would be helpful as well to palliative individuals. |
Training Details | A 30 hour training course is offered and required to palliative care volunteers. This is an excellent opportunity to learn about hospice care for professional or personal benefit. |
