● The 'Walk Coordinator' will join the local Superwalk committee immediately, then meet monthly in May and June, then biweekly and with increasing frequency as we draw close to Saturday, September 7, 2019. ● The 'Walk Coordinator' will lead the local committee particularly in reference to planning for, and delegation of, volunteers to organize and complete various tasks that are required to be in place in advance of the 'SuperWalk' date. ● The 'Walk Coordinator' will ensure that sub-committees and projects are assembled/assigned in a timely fashion, that milestones and deadlines are met, such that the event itself will proceed smoothly, having had sufficient preparation and event planning. | Training Details | Our 'Walk Coordinator' and 'Volunteer Committee' positions are available to both young and older adults, and these include flexible time commitments, mentorship for new members, education and training, and excellent leadership guidance, as you gain valuable experience. |

+ Attend monthly (March to June) and bi weekly (July to September) conference calls with all Community Walk Coordinators (and more often, as event planning/preparation requires) + Be onsite on the day of the event to facilitate a successful event (ie. be available for Parkinson 'SuperWalk' Brampton on Saturday, September 7, 2019, at the South Fletcher's Sportsplex) |
