> 'Route Marshals' have a key role in ensuring that all participants (and their families and friends in support) have a safe, enjoyable event experience), including: - Keeping participants 'on course' - Encouraging participants to keep smiling and intent on finishing their 'walk' - Being watchful and observant about any health and/or safety issues that involve participants and any other aspect of the event (notifying officials BY CELL PHONE, as the need for assistance and/or aid arises) >> Volunteers will wear clothing and footwear (add sunscreen/umbrella, bottled water, etc.) that are suitable for the weather conditions on the day of the event. You are encouraged to bring a lawn chair in order to avoid standing for prolonged periods (see 'Special Accommodations', below) >>> PLEASE APPLY IMMEDIATELY, as THIS EVENT TAKES PLACE Saturday, June 1, 2019. MANDATORY Orientation takes place at 7:00 AM SHARP, on the day of the event EVENT: Saturday, June 1, 2019, from 9:00 AM (Registration of walkers) into early afternoon Everything takes place at 1555 South Parade Court, Mississauga, and on the 2 respective courses. |
