| Position Description |
The Youth LEaD program is an intensive 2 1/2 week learning program developed to equip youth (ages 14 - 24) with both youth leadership skills and community awareness that ideally will result in meaningful personal volunteer engagement. The role of the program's 'Project Planner' will focus upon the ways and means to accomplish engagement through planning specific hands-on involvement in the local community. The program structure: 1. Ignite: August 13, 14 [Service Excellence & Volunteer Engagement] 2. Inspire: August 19, 20, 21, 22 [Leadership in Practice, Project Planning] 3. Impact: August 26, 27 [Project Proposals] By joining a project planning team, you will develop and demonstrate your skills. The scope of the project depends on your team planning, but is usually in the form of a special event related to increasing civic engagement. |
