Position Description

This role involves VIRTUAL 'social media' administration (and adapting and maintaining educational materials and other content on our website and 'social media' platform(s)). In collaboration with our President, and with other Executive members, you will enjoy volunteering VIRTUALLY in a location convenient to you (ie. your home), while applying your technical knowledge, capabilities, and experience (and marketing savvy) for the benefit of or nursing professional members and the public-at-large.



Our 'social media' ideally should be populated with relevant medical/nursing news, items that relate to being a professional entrepreneur, plus articles (blogs), occasional polls, networking/self-promotion strategies, complementary graphics, and include a little fun. The sites should be attractive such that we capture new members, achieve retention, and possibly bring back former members.



Our Social Media Administrator also would gather and stockpile content from reputable sources (with permissions/credits) for use in our 'social media', its composition created in collaboration with our website developer and pursuant to periodic meetings/disucussions with the Executive of the organization.

FLEXIBLE: Volunteering activity will be principally project-oriented, with ongoing admin/maintenance of 'social media', much of this by means of home-based. VIRTUAL volunteering. The 'Social Media/Marketing Volunteer' will have periodic telephone conferences with our staff, meeting in person as the need arises (the latter AFTER the COVID-19 Emergency has resolved).

Experience has taught us that budgeting 10 to 15 hours per week on the average should be sufficient to fulfill this 'role', with peak periods and ebs quite possible.
