● Board Members perform governance that is typical of a Board that oversees a not-for-profit, with focus on community services/outreach for elderly residents in the local community ● Currently, the organization is seeking individuals who have the following skills and/or previous experience (to enhance the depth and scope of our Board): - Marketing - Fundraising - Financial Management - Legal Affairs - Education *** OUR NEED FOR BOARD MEMBERS IS IMMEDIATE. ● Period of service required: 1 to 3 year term ● Awareness of, and sensitive to, issues that affect older adults in Peel region is an asset ● Commitment to diversity and inclusiveness ● Prior involvement as a board member or in a leadership role in the not-for-profit sector is an asset ● Expertise and/or experiemce in one or more areas listed in 'Position Description' preferred ● Members are required to sign a 'confidentiality agreement' |
