About the Position
Habitat for Humanity GTA Unit 3, 268 Rutherford Road South, Brampton, ON L6W 3N3, Canada Brampton

What you need to know:




  • An on-line orientation session is mandatory before your first volunteer shift. 

  • All volunteers must be a minimum of 16 years old.

  • Volunteers under the age of 18 require a waiver signed by a parent or guardian.

  • Shifts are self-scheduled via online registration. Minimum shift is 4 hours.

  • Morning, afternoon and weekend shifts are available.

  • Letters of confirmation for hours volunteered (Minimum 40 hours for this)

  • Give back to your community and help raise funds for affordable home ownership


  • A can-do attitude

  • Good oral/written English

  • You will provide superb customer service in a mature retail setting, with great staff support

  • Assist with pricing and merchandising, product assembly, repair, and donation drop offs

  • Attend all necessary Habitat for Humanity training sessions

  • Ability to volunteer as part of a team and independently

  • Committeed to adhere to volunteering schedule (shifts) that will be mutually agreed upon

  • Tasks may include customer service, product display, pricing, assembly and repair

  • e-commerce: product research for price and key selling points, measure dimensions, photography, and minor touch ups of items to support our new online platform.

  • Due to the physical nature of some of the tasks required, ReStore volunteers may be asked to lift heavy objects (bathroom fixtures, windows, doors, etc.)

    • Able to lift 10-20 pounds and be on your feet for several hours at a time



  • Volunteers are required to wear CSA approved green label safety shoes

  • Come with a willingness to learn from experienced volunteers and staff and to work as part of a team

  • A positive attitude, enthusiasm, flexibility and a sense of humour is always key!

Orientations are done virtually via zoom
