'Refresh' is a unique program designed to create a strong sense of community, restore local pride, and improve the living conditions of those living in and around the GTA. The ultimate purpose of 'Refresh' is about people. Building relationships. Sharing culture. Neighbours helping neighbours by doing something practical for each other in the form of painting. The Journey Neighbourhood Centre is partnering with Ephraim's Place to provide this valuable service to the Ardglen and Orenda neighbourhood. Our program runs for 4 days: July 2 to 5, from 9am - 4pm. Volunteers from across Brampton and beyond will join forces with local residents to paint the interiors of their homes, eat together, and provide a variety of volunteer services designed to develop a network of neighbourhood support. |

- Engage your talents/skills/experience in a unique community project - A learning experience for those who have not painted before - Opportunity to join like-minded volunteers, plus 'network' - Satisfaction that your volunteering efforts will have both an immediate and lasting impact on families in the community |

● Experience in painting/surface prep/minor drywall repair an asset, but not necessary ● Ability to function effectively with a team, plus volunteer independently ● Willingness to adhere to project timelines (in order to maximize the impact of 'Refresh') |

| Participants will be given instruction about how to paint interiors of housing units. | |
