About the Position | |
Making Our Seniors Matter North Bramalea United Church, 363 Howden Boulevard, Brampton, Ontario, LOWER LEVEL Brampton | |
● Assist staff in preparation/serving of tea/coffee during the seminar sessions, then lunch ● Seminar site set up and tidy up ● On site welcome of attendees, plus confirm names/registration ● General meet & greet ● Other tasks as requested PLEASE APPLY IMMEDIATELY (seminar series is about to begin - October 23, 2018) |

> Meet and network with attendees, volunteers, and our staff > Contribute customer service skills/experience to support a worthwhile project > Opportunity to learn about aspects of fall prevention for seniors > Satisfaction that by joining in as a valuable volunteer, you will be helping seniors in your community > Secondary school students can earn volunteer hours towards the '40 hour community service graduation requirement' |

● Friendly, engaging, especially with seniors ● Solid oral/written English communication skills ● Familiarity with seniors and their special needs helpful (not required) ● Commitment to diversity and inclusiveness in the community, notably seniors ● Prior food/beverage serving experience helpful (not required) ● Ability to take direction, plus volunteer independently ● Punctual, reliable, cooperative |
