About the Position
Community Living Mississauga Various locations across Mississauga Mississauga
Once a week, on a mutually agreeable day (and time), volunteers will meet with a pre-assigned person to enjoy an activity that is of mutual interest to both parties for a period of 12 weeks. (Any costs associated with course fees will be covered for the volunteer). Meetings and activities are expected to last 2 hours each, and may take place on weekdays, weeknights, and weekends.

Volunteers will be introduced to their respective 'matches' prior to start of the 12-week engagement. You will enjoy weekly, ongoing support by Community Living Mississauga staff, when needed, AND you will perform program evaluations to gauge success after 6 weeks of volunteering and at the end of 12 weeks.

Please note: Because the 'position' involves close personal interaction with a person who is 'vulnerable', a satisfactory Vulnerable Sector Police Check is required.
Attend an Orientation & Training Session, where you will be given all the information you will need to make this a successful volunteer experience.
(Training will include instruction about Community Living Mississauga's policies and procedures as prerequisite to your volunteer engagement.)
